Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  1. Understand the principles and concepts of waste management, including the different types of waste, their characteristics, and the different methods of waste disposal.
  2. Evaluate the environmental impact of different waste management practices and make recommendations for sustainable waste management practices.

  • Waste characterization studies: Collecting and analyzing samples of solid waste to determine its composition, quantity, and other characteristics.
  • Determination of moisture content of the waste stream
