PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

PO1

To lay down a strong foundation of concepts of Environmental Science in students in order to produce competent professionals for vital positions in Environmental research Laboratories, Industries and Government and non-government organizations

 

PO2

To inculcate interdisciplinary skills with knowledge of Environmental science and acquire expertise for natural resource management, pollution control and Environmental social issues

PO3

To develop ability to recognize, evaluate and address environmental issues with scientific and technological approach with regard to sustainable development Goals of the country in terms of economic welfare, social equity and proactive long-term environment management

 

PO4

To help students acquire knowledge to conduct Environmental Impact Assessment studies and advanced technical skills in remote sensing and GIS for attaining a sustainable future through planning and implementation

PO5

To infuse the ability in students to help technocrats and manufacturers to design and develop environmentally safe products and processes towards accomplishment of the sustainable development goals

To make students learn the process for modeling, simulations, and assessment of the Environmental issues at regional and global level  with an aim to remediate the problem

Appraise the ethical, cross-cultural and historical context of environmental issues and the links between artificial and natural systems

Implement core concepts and methods from ecological and physical sciences and their application in environmental problem solving

Describe concepts and methodologies to analyze and understand interactions
between social and environmental processes

Define methods for assessment and sustainable management of environmental systems and for the remediation or restoration of degraded environments

Formulate strategies (scientific, social, economic and legal) for environmental protection and conservation of biodiversity, social equity and sustainable development

Use laboratory and field instrumentation, computer applications (including GIS) and statistical techniques in the collection, organization, analysis and interpretation of data
