The department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the Ecofriendly association of the IIS University organized a visit to kalptaru power plant,black buck conservation area and Bisalpur Dam in Tonk District  on 11th August 2012. 35 Students of M.Sc. and B.Sc. were accompnyed byDean life Scince Prof. Pradeep Bhatnagar and two faculty members Ms.Charu Jhamaria and Ms. Payal Mehtani.

During the visit to Kalptaru power Plant students could get an insight of the process of generation of green energy.The power plant is one of the projects included in the list of CDM projects.

Visit to the conservation site acqainted the students to the significance of public participation in conservation.

Visit to the Dam was also a enriching experince where the group could see the Dam structure and understand the functioning of the Dam.
