The Department of Environmental Science of this University is organizing a guest lecture and interactive session on “Challenges for sustainable management of drinking water” by Prof. Manuel J. Rodriguez, Director, Centre for Research on Planning and Development  (CRAD), Université Laval, Québec, Canada on 29th November 2016 from 11.00 am onwards​.

Manuel J. Rodriguez is a civil engineer. He has a Master’s degree in Planning and Regional Development (ATDR) and a PhD in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering). Professor Rodriguez’s research program concerns the managing of drinking water quality. He is particularly interested in generating knowledge concerning the spatio-temporal evolution of water quality in the supply source and distribution networks, and in the development of tools for supporting decision-making in managing drinking water by municipal officials, by people in charge of regulating, and by those responsible for public health.
