Guest Lecture and Exhibition on “Seeds on Hope and Action”

Ecofriendly Association and NSS wing of IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur organized a Guest Lecture and Exhibition on “Seeds on Hope and Action”. The session was conducted by Ms. N.S. Anand of Bharat Soka Gakkai.

Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) is an organization engaged in peace, culture and educational activities based on the humanistic philosophy. It is the Indian affiliate of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a global association of grassroots organizations that seeks to promote the values of peace and respect for all people. Coming from all walks of life, the members of BSG are engaged in their ‘human revolution’, drawing inspiration from the humanistic life philosophy is the best relief that a fundamental change in a single individual can bring about a great transformation in society.

The exhibition stressed our interconnectedness with the rest of the community of life and the need to broaden our sphere of compassion. It encouraged the volunteers to overcome feelings of powerlessness and highlighted the fact that a single individual can initiate positive change. It also introduced a positive vision for sustainable living that can contribute to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The session was very informative and motivating. The students interacted with Ms. N. S. Anand and shared their views and experiences about pandemic. They also learnt about the need to promote the values of peace and respect for all people.
