Upon       completion        of the

dissertation, student will:

For Students opting for Industrial Training/Internship

Industrial Training/Internship

The students of the fourth semester of M.Sc. Environmental Science can undergo Industrial training/Internship that is relevant to their field of study and have a focus on Environmental Science. Government agencies, non-profit organizations, private companies, etc. can be considered for the same. After completing the training/internship as per the guidelines provided by the organization the students are required to prepare a report of the same to the Department under the guidance of the mentor allocated to them. At the end of the training/internship, the student shall write a report to summarize their experiences and learning outcomes. The report must include a reflection on how the industrial training has helped them to understand the application of Environmental Science and related aspects in a real-life setting.

Instructions for making the report are as follows:

Introduction: Begin the report with an introduction that includes the purpose of the report, the objectives of the industrial training/internship, and the name and location of the organization where it was conducted.

Training/ Internship Activities: Describe the specific activities that were carried out during the industrial training. This could include site visits, data collection and analysis, laboratory work, or any other organizational tasks.

Learning Outcomes: Discuss what you learned during the industrial training, including any new skills or knowledge you acquired. Also, reflect on how the training has helped you better understand the application of environmental science in an industrial setting.

 Conclusion: Conclude the report with a summary of the key points covered in the report and the impression of industrial training/Internship. Appendices: Include any additional materials that support the report, such as photographs, data tables, etc.

For Students opting Dissertation

CONTENTS

Each student is to undertake a research study and prepare an extensive report under the guidance of any one of the faculty members. The practical work is to be conducted in this semester and the bound form of the Dissertation Thesis has to be submitted for the partial fulfillment of the award of M.Sc. in Environmental Science. The student shall have to give a power point presentation of the work done for semester end evaluation. The student is also expected to write a research paper on the work done in the dissertation and get it published in a research journal
