Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  1. Provide an insight of environmental toxicology, including the major classes of toxicants in the environment, their fate in the environment, their disposition in organisms, and their biochemical mechanisms of toxicity.
  2. Assemble knowledge of environmental toxicology for conducting applied research for betterment of human race

Environmental Toxicology

Upon completion of this course, student will

CO79:  Develop knowledge about the various toxicants, their movement and chemical conversion in the ecosystem

CO80: Examine the sources of toxicants in the environment and their life cycle

CO81:  Design monitoring programmes for a wide range of Environmental toxicants

CO82: Interrelate the chemical mechanism of  toxicants  with different systems of the human body

CO83: Formulate methods for removal of toxicants from the environmental components using latest technologies

CO84: Investigate the harmful effects of chemicals at different levels of the ecosystem and design develop new methods for quantification of toxicants
