Water Quality Monitoring in the University campus

The water quality monitoring in the campus of University has conducted water quality monitoring programme for the evaluation of the Physico-chemical and Biological parameters of drinking water in the IIS University campus. The samples were collected during December 2013- March 2014 and were analyzed for pH, alkalinity, Dissolved oxygen, Total hardness, Chlorides, Conductivity, Total Coliforms and Fecal coliforms. In case of potable water we do not assess the BOD (Biological oxygen demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) of drinking water.

All the physiochemical parameters were analyzed by the methods described in Standard Methods for examination of wastewater, 20^thedition (APHA.AWWA.WEF, 1999).
