Guest Lecture on Human and Wildlife Conflict

The lecture aimed to make students aware of the status of rapid degradation of wildlife and its conservation methods.Dr. Joy Gardner is an accomplished biologist with over 15 years of experience in researching and addressing issues related to human-wildlife conflict. They have contributed significantly to our understanding of the complex dynamics between human populations and wildlife, particularly in the arid region of Rajasthan. Dr. Gardner explained how it arises when the interests and needs of human and wildlife populations overlap, often leading to negative consequences for both. The speaker presented real-life case studies, which illustrated the challenges and complexities of managing human-wildlife conflict.
