Quiz Competition on Wild Life

As a part of celebration of Wildlife week (1-7 October 2020), Department of Environmental Science and Eco-Friendly association organized a Quiz competition on Wildlife on 3rd October 2020. UG and PG Students of Environmental Science participated in the quiz. Names of the winners scoring highest marks in minimum time duration were declared by Prof. T.I. Khan, Retd. Prof., Indira Gandhi Centre for HEEPS, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur at the end of his guest lecture during the Wildlife week activity series.

Guest Lecture Wildlife
Conservation: Basic Concept and Necessity
5th October 2020
The Department of Environmental Science and eco-friendly Association of the University organized a guest lecture on 5th October 2020 on the topic Wildlife Conservation: Basic Concept and Necessity By Prof. T.I. Khan Retd. Prof., Indira Gandhi Centre for HEEPS, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The lecture was organized as part of series of activities conducted during the wildlife week(1-7 October 2020). Prof. Khan, during his lecture discussed about the various ingenious plants and animal of India and their ecological significance. He also emphasized on the effect of developmental activities and other anthropogenic activities on the depletion of the biodiversity. Steps taken by the government to conserve the biodiversity of the country were discussed during the lecture. The lecture proved to be very informative.
Guest Lecture on Felines and their Conservation Strategies in India
6th October 2020
A guest lecture on Felines and their Conservation Strategies in India was deliverd by Mr. Nakul Parihar from HOPE an NGO in Jaipur on 6th October 2020. The guest lecture was organized by the Department of Environmental Science and Ecofriendly association as a part of celebration of Wildlife week (1-7 October 2020).Mr. Parihar in his lecture discussed about the various feline species found in India describing their characteristic features. He also discussed the natural and anthropogenic threats to the species and the conservation strategies which can be implemented to conserve them. He also briefed about the role of general public and the government in conserving the feline species in India. Mr. Parihar also motivated the students to take up their career in the field of wildlife conservation.
Digital Poster making competetion
7th October 2020
To celebrate the wildlife week 1-7 October 2020 a digital poster making competetion was organized on google platform. The participants from all the faculties participated and submitted the digital posters on google forms.
