Visit to Pollution Control Board and natural ecosystem is a part of course curriculum in PG programme offered by the environmental science discipline. Therefore, a one-day educational visit to Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) and World Forestry Arboretum, Jhalana Dungri, Jaipur was organised on 16th January 2023 by Environmental Science discipline of IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. During the visit, the RSPCB officials along with their technical staff have demonstrated the working of various instruments like Respirable Dust Sampler and PQ 200 Ambient Air Sampler (used for PM 2.5 sampling), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) etc. Thereafter, the students have also got to know about various medicinal, rare and endangered plants grown in World Forestry Arboretum, Jhalana Dungri. Few plant species that were present in the arboretum were Commiphora wightii (Guggal), Tylophora indica (Damabel), Murraya koenigii (Meetha Neem), Carissa carandas (karonda), Terminalia arjuna (Arjun), Adhatoda zeylanica (Adusa), Barleria prionitis (Bajradanti).

All M.Sc students (Sem I and Sem III) along with one faculty member of the Environmental Science discipline have visited both places. The visit proved to be very fruitful for the students as they have not only learnt about the working principle of important sophisticated instruments but also learnt about the world assembly of plants.
