The department of Environmental science and Eco-friendly Association, IIS (deemed to be University), organized an interactive session with Dr. Nasim Akhtar, principal scientist, Central Road Research Institute, Delhi, on the University campus. Dr. Akhtar began by discussing the underlying notion of noise pollution and its effects on human health. He also concentrated on different methods of monitoring, mapping, and managing noise and vibrations. Dr. Balbir Singh, president of Envirotech Instruments, Delhi, also concentrated on various noise monitoring and mapping instruments and discussed their working principles with students. The entire program was quite beneficial, and the speakers effectively motivated and enlightened the students. Indeed, the session proved to be educational and enriched students with valuable knowledge and research opportunities in this field.
