CONTENTS
· Documentation of different species of birds, insects, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, etc. in the nearby areas.
· Preparation of digital album of local wildlife
· Determination of Frequency, Density and Abundance of various plant species in a community by quadrate method
· Wildlife estimation through Mark Recapture technique
· Identification of Mammalian species by Hair Imprinting Method
· Report writing and presentation on the habitat, behavior, threats and conservation status of any one endangered species of India
PREPARATION OF A RECORD COMPRISING OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS ON MAPS
· Ecozones of India
· Deserts of the World
· Forests of India
· Major Biomes of the World
· Hotspots of Biodiversity in India and World
· Projects Tiger, Lion, Elephant, Gibbon, Rhino and Lion-tailed Macaque in India
· National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Biosphere Reserves in India
· National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Tiger reserves in Rajasthan
· Ramsar sites in India
VISIT
In this semester it is compulsory for each student to visit a National Park/ any natural habitat/ Sanctuary and prepare a report of the same, marks for which will be added in practical exam
Note: Any other practical exercise (related to theory) may be conducted besides the ones mentioned above.
