Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  1. Gain insights into various environmental hazards, their causes, nature, preparedness and assessment of loss.
  2. Enhance their knowledge, capacities skills, and perspective on disasters.
  3. Understand the general concept in the dimensions of disasters caused by nature and induced by human activities with an emphasis on disaster preparedness, response and recovery.

CO80: Analyze causes and nature of loss in various environmental hazards and integrate knowledge to manage different aspects of disasters at local and global levels.
