 Upon completion of this course, students will: CO85: Analyze causes, nature, preparedness and assessment of loss in various environmental hazards CO86: Evaluate the relationship/interface between geophysical processes and human activities in causing natural hazard with emphasis on disaster preparedness, response and recovery CO87: Appraise the strengths and weaknesses of disaster management approaches, strategies and governmental action plan in different countries, particularly India CO88: Analyse and evaluate the environmental, social, cultural, economic, legal and organizational aspects influencing vulnerabilities and capacities to face disasters. CO89: Integrate knowledge to evaluate and manage different aspects of disaster events at a local and global levels, even when limited information is available CO90: Examine the role of psycho-social care and its practical relevance in specific types of disasters and conflict situations
