A field trip to Nahargarh Zoological Park was organized by Department of Environmental science on 5th-6th October 2017 in association with ‘Nature’s Club’, Jaipur. It was one of the various activities organized during 1st-7th October 2017 in order to celebrate Wildlife Week 2017. The Nahargarh Zoological garden encompasses an area of 720 hectares under Aravali hills. The Park is famous for its vast flora and fauna, with the main aim of biodiversity conservation. This Zoological Park is a house of animals for Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, panthers, hyenas, wolves, deer, crocodiles, sloth bear, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, etc. A total of 80 students including B.Sc (Fashion designing), B.Sc (Home Science), BCA and BA (JMC) visited the park along with four faculty members. Mr. Meraj Mohmd. of the Nature’s Club shared interesting facts with the students about lifecycle and nature of the conserved animals in the area. The students found it a great place to gain knowledge about the vast flora & fauna and the visit proved to be beneficial for students.
