The Department of Environmental Science organized an educational tour with a group of 90 students and five faculty members to Dehradun–Mussorie-Rajaji National Park from 22nd to 26th of February, 2018.
During the tour, the group visited Forest Research Institute (FRI) and Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun. At WII two lectures were delivered by the experts in which information about the forest resources and their conservation and about illegal wildlife trading was given by them. In Mussorie the group visited Kempty fall and enjoyed shopping at the Mall road. Further, students enjoyed the Safari in Rajaji National Park and got acquainted with the various species of flora and fauna. The group also visited Haridwar and went to Mansa Mata Mandir via rope way.
The visit was found to be fruitful and enriching for the students.
