The Department of Environmental Science invites passionate individuals to join our Undergraduate and M.Sc. and PhD programs and be part of a movement towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility. In our department, we explore the science behind environmental systems while equipping students with the tools and skills to predict, manage, and mitigate environmental challenges caused by both natural and human-induced factors. With environmental issues becoming the defining concern of the 21st century, there's never been a greater need or a better time to study Environmental Science. With a strong foundation in Environmental Science and practical experience, students are well-prepared for careers in Pollution Control Boards, Biodiversity boards and other government environmental agencies, Environmental Consultancies, Corporate ESG Divisions, Research Institutions and Think Tanks, Non-governmental Organisations (NGOS) and International Development Agencies. A distinctive feature of our curriculum is the integration of regular field visits, giving students hands-on exposure to ecosystems, pollution sites, conservation areas, waste management systems, and renewable energy installations. These immersive experiences bridge theory and practice, enhancing students' understanding of real-world environmental challenges and solutions.
