Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Introduce students to the theory and practice of environmental impact assessment (EIA), a tool to attain sustainable development. The course provides an overview of the concepts, methods, issues and various forms and stages of the EIA process.
  2. Help students learn the process of consideration of the environment in the planning and decision- making process to arrive at actions that avoid or minimize adverse impacts on the environment.
