This course will enable the students to-

  1. Become aware of the deteriorating conditions of the environment due to anthropogenic interference
  2. Deal with the various sources and effects of pollution in various environmental components

Upon completion of the course, the students will:

CO13: Interpret the complex chemical and physical processes of environmental pollution

CO14: Assemble the information related to relationship of various pollutants and its effect on human health, vegetation and material

CO15: Differentiate between the various processes of pollutant transport in the environmental components in order to apply mitigative and remediation measures

CO16: Execute research based studies to correlate the effects of emerging pollutants with environmental and human health

CO:17 Select most appropriate sustainable methods of pollutant identification and treatment

CO:18 Design cost effective methods for pollution preventive
