World Sparrow day was observed by Commonwealth Human Ecology Council (CHEC) and Tourism and Wildlife Society of India (TWSI) at central park, Jaipur on17^th March, 2019. Prof. T. I. Khan, President, CHEC delivered a lecture on World Sparrow day. Various experts present at the event also shared their views on sparrow protection.

Staff members of Jaipur Zoo, Environment Education Conservation Global, World Wide Fund for Nature and Tourism and Wildlife Society of India, and faculty members and students from various university were also present at the venue.

A total number of 21 students and one faculty member from department of Environmental Science and Ecofriendly Association, IIS (deemed to be University) have also attended the event. Students get acquainted with the different methods of sparrow protection. The whole event was found to be fruitful for the students.
