CONTENTS

EXERCISE ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT

  • The students will prepare a report and a PowerPoint presentation on specific disaster management topics of interest (eg. Earthquake, Floods, Drought, Landslide, epidemics, pandemics, anthropogenic disasters, etc.) followed by peer feedback and discussions on presentation content and delivery
  • Research and compilation of a list of essential items needed in an emergency preparedness kit
  • Community cleanup event focused on removing pollutants and debris from local waterways, parks, or industrial sites, promoting environmental stewardship and disaster prevention.
  • Case Studies Analysis: The students analyse case studies of past natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, tsunamis, floods) to understand their causes, impacts, and management strategies.
